This hyper-realistic drawing of a student from Camarines Sur trends online because it looks so real

There are people who are really blessed when it comes to art. More often, these people come from the most unexpected places and let their work speak for themselves.

19-year-old student, John Jeff Camasis from Barangay Labawon, Buhi, Camarines Sur is the latest addition to the long list of Filipino artists who are now making a name in this industry. Camasis caught the attention of many Facebook users when he posted photos of his artwork which he calls “Leaves 1”.

The said artwork features the leaves of a plant that are looking so realistic that you would actually think it was an actual plant that the photo was taken from.

Shortly since he made his post, many mainstream media already featured his artwork and Camasis is both overwhelmed and grateful for all the attention he is getting.

When asked about his inspiration for his drawing, Camasis says that the leaves are a reflection of the struggles we face nowadays. He says that as everyone might have noticed, the leaves have parts eaten by caterpillars, but despite this, it still continues to renew itself and continue to live even when it is no longer a whole.

He also emphasized the importance of not losing hope. Because all of us will come to realize our dreams when the time is right.

Additionally, Camasis even has other drawings in the past which includes portraits of people and even one that features Captain America and Iron Man.
