Now that many of us are staying home because of the limited movements of people brought by the community quarantine being implemented across the country, a lot has started to embrace and love the convenience of online shopping.
Aside from the conventional websites and applications that offer various products and sale promos to lure more customers, live selling is also slowly becoming a trend.
In this set-up, the seller shows off their products and the buyers will comment “mine” on the item that catches their attention.
But, more recently, it was as if it is no longer the products that people are after while watching live selling episodes. It turns out that some are more interested in watching the seller themselves.
Among the few popular ones is 18-year-old, Steffania Alvarez who sells shoes and watches. Steff became trending with over 1 million views in one of her live selling episodes because of her revealing clothes.
In her interview in the show, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Steff recalls that when she was younger, she had a hard time as people would ogle at her front part. She felt insecure too.
But, as she grew up, she realized that all she needed to do is embrace herself and use everything that she has as an asset. She even learned to dress up not to impress anyone else but for herself.
This led her into becoming more confident about herself and thus led to her taking on the world of live selling. Although she still is still now experiencing the bullying she suffered in the past, she believes that she is now a better person who is ready to face the challenges the world may throw at her.
Now, Steff not only has her own live selling show but she also gets commissioned by people who want her to sell their products. So far, she only has positive results for all her live selling efforts.
Kudos to Steff for loving and believing in herself more than anyone else.
