Remember the cast of original Meteor Garden? Here they are now!

Do you still remember one afternoon in 2001 when you were rushing to get home from school or office just to watch Meteor Garden? It sure is one of the most unforgettable moments all the 90s kids will forever remember all throughout their lifetime.

For those who aren’t aware, Meteor Garden is a hit Taiwanese series which was based on the Japanese manga series Hana Yori Dango. The story revolved around four popular, rich friends called F4 and a new student named Shan Cai who stands up to them and refuses to be bullied.

But, have you ever wondered, after 19 long years, what are the casts we loved on the series are up to now?

Jerry Yan (Dao Ming Si)

Of course, who could ever forget the iconic “pineapple” hairstyle only Dao Ming Si was able to pull off? Because of the fame, he got after the hit drama, Jerry’s career flourished as he starred in dramas such as The Hospital and Down With Love. He also had an impressive music career, with three successful albums.

Plus, he is currently working on a new drama alongside Shen Yue, the girl who played Shan Cai in the Chinese adaptation of Meteor Garden in 2018.

Vic Zhou (Hua Ze Lei)

Well, all our second-lead hearts were melted by Hua Ze Lei especially with his caring attitude towards Shan Cai. Now at 38, Vic Zhou still stuns the online world with his handsome looks.

In 2013, he played a prisoner of war in a film called Home, which won him Taiwan’s Golden Bell Award for Best Actor.

Vanness Wu (Mei Zuo)

Mei Zuo’s long hair and his chic personality plus being the chick magnet in the group are surely a few of the things people remember from Vanness.

But, did you know that he is an established artist in Taiwan? In fact, according to Cosmo, Vaness has released six Mandarin and two Japanese albums. He also appeared on Asia’s Got Talent as a judge in 2015.

Ken Chu (Xi Men)

Who else was left heartbroken when Xi Men did not end up with Xiao Yu? That is one major heartbreak right there. But, in real life, Ken did not end up in heartbreak as he has actually married actress Han Wen Wenin in 2016.

Barbie Hsu (Shan Cai)

Of course, we all wished we were Shan Cai but, there can only be one in Dao Ming Si’s heart. Now at 42-years-old, Barbie is happily married to Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei. The two tied the know back in 2010. They now have two children together.

It’s truly good to know that the people behind the characters we all loved are now doing very well in their individual lives.
