Pokwang gives out free food for doctors, nurses, and policemen

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic across the globe, there are people who take this situation to their advantage as they sell products that are double or even triple its original price. Despite this, there are also others who tale this chance to hold out their helping hands to the people in need.

Just like comedian Pokwang who made the effort to give out free food to the people who are sacrificing and even putting their lives on the line to serve and protect their countrymen: the doctors, nurses, policemen, and soldiers.

Through her Instagram account, Pokwang shared photos of herself preparing tuna sandwiches which she later distributed to policemen and soldiers along with a pledge to also give out free food to doctors and nurses.

Her post also went with a positive caption that urges everyone to not lose hope, especially in these trying times. This threat of a deadly disease will soon pass and that everyone should keep their faith with the Lord as he will be the one to keep us safe.

She also encouraged everyone to just stay home as it will be for everyone’s betterment and also for the welfare of our motherland.

May what Pokwang did serve as an example to all the citizens of the Philippines to no longer point fingers but instead work in unity and help, as much as we could to decrease the deadly effects of this virus.

In the meantime, according to ABS-CBN, the whole Luzon Island is now put under enhanced community quarantine to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
