Famous Youtuber gives out free Hygiene Kit on the streets of Manila

COVID-19 pandemic is quickly spreading all over the world. Health authorities have advised everyone to practice proper hygiene especially hand washing and using alcohol or sanitizers. However, here in the Philippines, it is a sad truth that not everyone can afford to buy this stuff.

Realizing this, famous Youtuber “The Hungry Syrian Wanderer,” who is known for his charity work, is stepping up his game as he decided to give out free hygiene kit which consists of Alcohol, soap, sanitizer, Vitamin C and face mask to the people who cannot afford to buy one for themselves.

In his newest vlog, Basel Manadil is seen repacking the hygiene stuff he bought from various stores and even from abroad to be distributed on the streets of Manila.

Basel also expressed his admiration for the unsung heroes amidst this COVID-19 outbreak which is the hospital personnel. He especially thanked his brother who is a doctor in France and his sister who is also a doctor in a big hospital in Saudi Arabia.

He also jokingly said that he did not know what happened to him as he was the only one on his family who did not pursue a career in the medical field. Instead, he calls himself now the “Doctor of Hope” with all this stuff he does for the less fortunate citizens.

Basel also pointed out his dismay towards the people who decided to buy loads of alcohol and sell them at a much higher price, even ten times more than the original tag. He said they are not helping but only worsening the situation.

Before he ended the video, Basel took the emphasis on one important reminder for everyone, “Prevention is the Key.” Panic and blaming one another will never do us any good. Instead, we should cooperate with the government and do our part in the prevention of the spread of this deadly disease.
