The recent marriage of popstar royalty Sarah Geronimo and actor Matteo Guidicelli has been wrapped in controversies after a close family bodyguard of Sarah claimed that he was “punched” by Matteo during the ceremony and the news of Sarah’s mom, Divine trying to stop the marriage from happening.
After the incident, the bodyguard named Jerry Tamara tried to seek help from Raffy Tulfo through his program Raffy Tulfo in Action regarding his situation. According to Philstar, during his appearance in the said show on February 24, 2020, he gave details about what transpired during the wedding of the couple on February 20, 2020.
On the other hand, Matteo, according to Inquirer, has firmly denied the claims Tamara said and even said in a post that he “didn’t punch anyone.”
Barely a week after the said interview, Raffy Tulfo in Action has shared an update on Tamara’s claims. It was revealed that the close-in bodyguard already settled with Matteo’s party represented by Vic Del Rosario, the head of Viva Artists’ Agency.
According to PEP, during Tamara’s meeting with Boss Vic on February 26, 2020, he demanded PHP1.5 Million for damages. As for the agency, they offered a PHP100,000 settlement which Tamara did not agree to. Tamara then went on to say that he wants to meet the newlyweds personally and will no longer demand compensation for the damages he suffered.
However, when the staff of Raffy Tulfo in Action tried to contact Tamara again on February 28, 2020, the only received a text message from him. It was then that they knew that Viva Agency has paid him PHP200,000 as compensation.
With all these controversies, the newly-wed couple was seen shopping for appliances that fans assume are for their new home. Many of the fans also expressed their admiration for the two for being strong and brave enough to fight for their love.
