Mayor Isko donates 5M Pesos of talent fee for the victims of Earthquake in Mindanao

In the past week, a series of earthquakes have been recorded in the Mindanao region. The death toll, injuries, damage to properties are constantly increasing day by day. As such, government agencies, media companies, and even celebrities are now stepping up to aide the victims of the quake.

One of the famous people who has pledged to donate a huge amount of money is Manila Mayor, Francisco “Isko” Moreno.

Isko announced that he will donate 5 million pesos to the poor victims of the quake in the province of Cotabato. He also revealed that the money came from his modeling job. 3 million from Pascual laboratories and 2 million from Vicky Belo.

He expressed his sadness over the tragedy and encouraged the people of Cotabato to work together so they can stand up and start a new beginning. He also said that the donation is his way of making the Cotabato people feel that they are not alone and everyone in the country is with them in this fight.

He also added that the donation is made from Isko not as a mayor but an ordinary Filipino citizen who sympathizes with his fellow men.

As we can recall, 6.6 and 6.5 magnitude quakes shook Cotabato from Tuesday to Friday and casualties recorded from the quakes is now at 16. Residents are hoping for the aftershocks to not continue anymore so that there will no longer be additional damage to people and to infrastructure as well.

On the other hand, we encourage everyone who has come across this post to pray for Mindanao and may many more good Samaritans to come to help the poor victims of this natural disaster.
