Loose panty, a wound on neck, a big wound on stomach which caused the intestines to fall out and was burned to death without mercy from suspects, this is the situation when the poor little girl named April Re-anne Padua, 7 years old was found inside their residence at Hacienda Pula, Brgy. Kapitan Ramon, Silay City, Negros Occidental on early morning of Tuesday, April 24.
Also found dead and full of stab wounds was her father, 66-year-old Antonio Padua. It was known that the unfortunate day could have been the celebration of April’s birthday.
In a report by RMN, the two was discovered by a man named Michael Ocbina, 35-years-old as the latter was trying to tie his Carabao under the shed of a tree.
Meanwhile, suspects on the brutal incident have voluntarily surrendered to the police office of Silay city. Rogelia Landao (mother of the victim) and Arnel Aguilar are the ones who confessed to the crime they committed.

Reports also stated that Arnel was the one responsible for stabbing Padua and burning the body of the two victims together.
In an interview with Supt. Noel Polines, the chief of Silay City PNP, he said that according to the statement made by Rogelia, she and Arnel plotted together to obtain money from Antonio by robbing him. Their plan did not intend to kill anyone. All they wanted was to get money from Antonio.
However, when they were already inside the house, Antonio and Arnel had an argument which led to Arnel stabbing Antonio.
Rogelia said that she ran to the nearest banana plantation to hide herself from danger. This is in contrast to what she previously said in an interview that she was at the house of her employer in Talisay City and that she was not present during the incident.
As of writing time, the police are still continuing their investigation to further clarify what really happened during the whole incident and also so that proper punishment may be given to the right person.
