Netizen seeks help to rescue this OFW in Saudi from her employer

At this day and age, it is very common to see people mostly Filipinos are aspiring to work overseas, leaving their home country just to work abroad. Many of the Overseas Filipino Worker have to sacrifice a lot of things such as being away from their family and loved ones and go on a journey from afar.

Many Filipinos see the opportunity to work abroad and give a better life to the ones they left behind at home.

However, every OFW story is not as happy as many of us think. Although some may be lucky to have a nice and generous employers, there are some who are just despicable and can sometimes go berserk and abuse their employee for some unknown reason.

The woman was identified as Marilyn Birang, a citizen of Davao City and was reported to have been allegedly imprisoned by her employee without any meal for 3 days and was said to have been ill during her imprisonment.

The page’s post was addressed to Philippine Embassy Riyadh and seeking help for the OFW’s well being and safety.

For the meantime, it is still unknown what happened but the information has already went viral on social media. We hope that she has already been rescued and well taken cared of if it is true that she was imprisoned by her employer.
